Why?

To increase the number of young Black men in Ypsilanti Community Schools successfully persisting through middle school (grades 6 – 8) and matriculating to attend high school.

Mentor 2 Youth’s Young King Program implements the Raising Royalty framework, a holistic approach to support and empowerment. Using the common colloquial phrase, “Life is chess not checkers” Mentor 2 Youth promotes an inside-out approach to engaging black males in character development through the lifelong implications of everyday decision making. Young Kings is a black male engagement platform for Raising Royalty.?
